I was looking for a AC30 sound without having to buy a old Vox amp. For the money of the Tone City pedal its the closest to the AC30 amp distorted sound that I was able to get. All in a small little box

good pedal, sounds ok for the money. Looking at other reviews i perhaps shouldve gone for the plexi but im fairly happy with this black tea. Id say its a bit mesa sounding really, quite modern and compressed.

The Black Tea is Good; not as versatile as I hoped. But the Sweet Cream is a great mini-pedal and I can get a variety of sounds out it.

very good as a clean / low gain volume booster for solos stacked after Golden Plexi, beefy booster at gain setting around 1 or 2 + output at 9 or 10, good booster, but not very "voxy" on its own as it suppose to be, good warm OD saturation but no voxy chimnes at low distortion settings.

Great lil' pedal.Sturdy construction, plus it comes with 2 different self adhesive backings (one velcro, one for floor use).That was a nice little bonus, haven't seen many companies do that.
Tone wise its pretty good, quite a lot of gain in this little pedal.It goes well with my Marshall combo drive channel as a boost.Not really fond of the sound as a true distortion pedal (that is with high gain on the pedal on a clean channel).

Being a huge Brian May fan, but not wanting ton invest € 1.600 in a VOX-AC30 amp (however great it is) and not wanting to go deaf, this pedal definitely does the job. Next to that the product was tested in full detail on the Anderton's/Rob Chapman Youtube channel. You guys rock!

Struggled to get decent sounds out of this pedal on my dsl5c with an hss strat copy but managed to get some decent sounds out of it with a friend on his 15 watt laney iron heart, would love to try it with some other stuff but right now i feel like either it's unsuited to lower wattage amps with low head room and i feel like it would be a struggle to call it quite difficult to place what really suits it as we managed some good higher gain sounds on the laney ironheart but it kind of felt like it was getting decent sounds but maybe fit on the price to quality line in a way where even though i didn't feel like it was a bad purchase but i dont think it sits out enough as something i personally like enough to suggest getting over other things but it does have a little bit of it's own identity compared to other things i have tried but i was kind of going out on a limb getting it because of the ac power supply deal that was offered with 2 tone city pedals.
