The Orange Bax Bangeetar is unlike any drive pedal we have ever seen before. That is why they are not calling it a drive pedal they are calling it a Pre-EQ. No matter if you are looking to completely replace your amplifiers preamp section or you just want to drive it in new and wonderful ways the Bax Bangeetar has something up its sleeves for you.

From Clean Boost to Insane

One of the main things that makes the Bax Bangeetar so useful is that it can go all the way from lightly clean boost to full on distortion that would fit in to nearly any metal band. If that isn't already enough variety this pedal also has an extra boost switch which works after the main part of the pedal taking you into sweet lead territory.

Probably the coolest things about the drive coming from this pedal is just how articulate it sounds. They have done this by purposely avoiding back to back diode clipping like you would find in most pedals. This means that not only is the pedal really transparent but it responds just like a real amplifier would and less like a pedal.

Baxandall EQ for Incredible Control

Baxandall EQ sections are used quite frequently on guitar amps as it allows for you to have a mid hump that you can not get with a regular tone circuit. Apart from the normal Top and Bottom controls the midrange has a bit more control than you will find on most pedals. The fully parametric mid control allows you to control not only the boost or cut but also the Q and range. This extra focus on the midrange is really important when working with electric guitars as that is where all of the core frequencies are.

Linear Buffered Bypass

While this pedal may not be true bypass Orange are saying that their linear transparent buffered bypass is actually much more usable. Having a high quality studio grade buffer in your signal path can really improve the quality of your sound especially if you are using long cables. That is what you have built in to the Bax Bangeetar so you can rest assured that your tone will stay intact on any stage.

Internal Charge Pump

A lot of pedals in this style will sometimes require their own power supply because they either run at very high voltages or on AC power. This doesn't however and can accept any standard 9v power supply input which it will then convert to 18v. This makes sure you have a very high headroom and beautiful transparency keeping your signal crisp and clear.

Cabsim Output

What if the Bax Bangeetar is the center of your rig but you cant get hold of an amp to record with or use live. Well don't worry as the Bax Bangeetar has a high quality cab sim output that emulates the sound of you going through an Orange 40th Anniversary PPC412 cabinet with Celestion G12H 30 speakers. This is perfect to add more power to your live sound through the PA or for silent recording.
