Updated for 2015 the PRS S2 30th Anniversary Custom 24 is a stunningly beautiful guitar with great playability at a price you will not believe. Made in Maryland along with PRS's Core line of guitars the S2 series helps give players the great playability and sound people have come accustomed to with USA made guitars from PRS. To celebrate 30 years of PRS guitars this model has a new look with a bit of extra class.

Quality USA Build

Part of what made the Core USA PRS guitars so popular was their impeccable build quality and control. So when it came to making a better value version of these guitars PRS did not want to lose any of this quality. This meant making them in the same factory, with the same tools and the same people that make all of their more expensive guitars.

Brilliant Woods

Making a cut down version of the Custom 24 was never going to be easy. One of the things that made that guitar feel and sound like it did was the wood choice that has been used consistently for the last 30 years. A mahogany body topped with figured maple set with a mahogany neck finished off with a rosewood fretboard makes this a dream to play for nearly any style. It even has that special mid range fullness that is only really found on PRS guitars.

S2 Hardware

Although this guitars hardware is not directly lifted from the core line you can see the influence that 30 years of guitar making top grade components. From the S2 Tremolo to the S2 Locking Tuners you still get amazing performance and tuning stability even though you are not shelling out for a full blown core model.

Finishing off the hardware on this guitar you have a set of the very cool PRS S2 HFS and S2 Vintage Bass pickups which are based on the legendary pickups that have been part of the PRS lineup for many years. Tuned for a hot rock tones in the bridge position and more classic vintage inspired tones from the next position you are sure to find something you love in this guitar.
