Misha Mansoor is the founder of modern metal pioneers Periphery, trendsetters of the 'djent' genre. To meet the demands of his highly complex and technical music, Mansoor needed an instrument that could offer no hindrances and stand the tolls of constant touring.

Designed in close collaboration with Jackson, the USA Juggernaut HT 6 encompasses everything Misha wanted from a guitar. With an ultra-modern and elegant body design, a thin neck profile with a flat fretboard radius and Bare Knuckle Ragnarok pickups, this instrument is built to provide optimal perfomance.

Construction

The HT 6 is formed of a Basswood body, and although it is considered by some as a less glamorous tonewood compared to others, the light weight of Basswood and its balanced tonal qualities make it a great, practical option. The body has however been caramelized, a process that takes moisture out of the wood to make it more porous and stable, offering a more open sound.

The Caramelized Quartersawn Maple neck offers a bright and articulate tone, and with a bolt-on construction you can expect a super-snappy response with a fast attack. This is essential for the tight palm-muted riffing that Mansoor is renowned for, letting notes cut through even the most frantic of heavy mixes. Reinforced with Graphite, this neck will stay stable even in differing temperatures and conditions. The Caramelized Maple fretboard further cements this guitar's high-end look and feel, letting you glide up and down the fretboard with ease.

Electronics and Hardware

This US-made HT 6 features the super-hot Bare Knuckle Ragnarok pickup set, with all of the high-output potency you'd expect. With a slightly more compressed and consistent sound compared to Mansoor's signature Juggernaut set, these pickups deliver all of the chunk you'll ever need, easily handling high doses of gain. But they're not just one-trick ponies, as Misha needed pickups versatile enough for ambient cleans, and these certainly deliver!

The Hipshot hardtail bridge keeps things super solid, with a smooth ergonomic design that keeps your right-hand comfortable when palm muting. At the other end of the guitar you have a set of Hipshot Open-Gear locking tuners, keeping your tuning stable and making string changes a breeze.

Here's what Jackson say about the USA Misha Mansoor Signature Juggernaut HT 6 in Satin Silver:

Misha Mansoor is acclaimed for his masterful guitar work in fashioning the progressive metal of Periphery, and Jackson is proud to have collaborated so closely with the esteemed Djent forefather and speed demon on the USA Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6, a model sure to impress the most discerning guitarists.

This unique instrument is sculpted with a distinctive Jackson body shape inspired by the Dinky,™ with sleekly scalloped horns and a comfortably contoured neck heel. A caramelized basswood body is paired with a graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck, shaped with Mansoor’s own custom profile with a hand-rubbed urethane gel back finish. The 20”-radius caramelized flame maple fingerboard features comfortably rolled edges, 24 jumbo stainless steel frets and offset maple dot inlays. A heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel allows for quick and easy neck tweaks, even between songs in a set.

The guitar’s tonally versatile sound comes from Mansoor's dual Bare Knuckle Ragnarok humbucking pickups with laser etched carbon fiber covers, five-way switching, single volume control knob and a push-pull (on/off) tone knob. Other premium features include a matching Jackson reverse 3x3 AT1 headstock with three Hipshot® open-gear locking tuners on each side and a fixed Hipshot hardtail bridge, Dunlop® duallocking strap buttons and more.

Designed to own the stage, the Juggernaut is available in stunning finishes such as Satin Daphne Blue, Satin Red or Satin Silver with black hardware. Comes with a hardshell case, a set of D'Addario® strings, pick-tin and Bulb strap.
