Duesenberg Signature Series Dave Stewart Series GuitarWith Hard Case
Duesenberg and Dave Stewart are both love the idea of making something new and unique that has never been seen before. This comes out in the guitar they have made together titled 'The Blackbird' the first guitar in the Duesenberg Artist Series. Duesenberg are some of the finest guitar makers in the world and this guitar is a masterpiece of design, manufacturing and sound.
This guitar looks like nothing else we have ever seen before. The artwork which was designed by Dave Stewart himself is based on the artwork of his album The Blackbird Diaries sits on top of a beautifully selected arched solid maple top. Everything on this guitar has been made by Duesenberg to not only function amazingly but also look brilliant as well. From the choice of pickguard design to the inlays and even the woods this guitar is a beautiful piece of artistry.
Built Like A Dream
The Duesenberg difference comes from their incredible attention to detail and their ability to make pretty much every component in house or get it made exclusively for them. You will not find any other guitar that sounds or feels like Duesenberg because no one else can build anything close to one. Putting the hardware aside for a moment this guitar is a dream to get your hands around with a mahogany body topped with solid maple and connected to a D carved 1 piece mahogany neck finished with an Indian rosewood fretboard.
Custom Made Hardware
Like all Duesenberg guitars the hardware has been made in house where possible so you can get the best possible experience. With this guitar you get the classic Doozy sound from their award winning Grand Vintage and Domino P90 pickups. These have been made with only the best materials that Duesenberg can source including "Elektrisola" a wire that is produced in Germany and "Soft Iron" to give you more pronounce high harmonic content.
After the pickups we have to mention the fantastic Z-tuners. Only available on Duesenberg guitars these machine heads are not only very stable but also very quick to get up and running. They also have one very special system which gets rid of the sharp strings ends which can quite easily cut through your case or even yourself. You install these strings like you would on old split shaft vintage tuners though the strings can now go all the way through the headstock so the tuner has more string to grab onto.
Finally this guitar is set up with a tradition stoptail / bridge setup that has been crafted by the Duesenberg team themselves for the perfect mixture of style and performance. Nothing in this guitar is left to chance with third party manufacturing and like all Duesenbergs this is guitar you will be able to rely on for years and years to come.
