Bohemian Guitars are a small company with big ambitions. Inspired by South African street musicians, designed in Atlanta and manufactured in China, Bohemian’s instruments have pure old-school vibe and sustainability in mind.
With the “oil can” body formed from partially recycled materials and the neck made from reclaimed woods, bohemian also plant a tree with every order that they receive in co-operation with their partner ‘Trees for the Future’.
So if you’re looking for a distinctive guitar and also care for the environment, Bohemian guitars may be just for you!
Construction and Electronics:
The hollow metal body delivers a unique tone, offering an open sound with a rich, “metallic” top-end sparkle. The body is reinforced with a wood frame, ensuring strong structural integrity. This means you can gig with this instrument without any concerns, and this guitar will certainly turn heads!
The maple neck provides a sharp attack with plenty of bite, meaning notes will clearly “pop” and cut through any mix. The rosewood fretboard adds a strong mid-range character, with the P90 pickups providing a punchy, full-bodied tone.
A classic 3-way toggle switch allows you to flick between your preferred pickup configuration, with the conventional volume and tone controls letting you manipulate your tone. This no-frills tone machine is one for the purists!
Here's what Bohemian say about the Oil Can Guitar Hot Sauce w/ 2 P90s:
Bohemian guitars are light, with a small body shape that allows increased access to the higher frets (and whole new sonic worlds!). Constructed with an extended tenon design, the neck extends to the end of the can. The internal wood structure inside of the body creates exceptional balance and weight distribution, so these guitars always rest comfortably. The removable back panel, very unique to Bohemian, gives easy access to the entire interior of the guitar body.
Bohemian’s innovative design leads to an equally distinctive tone. These guitars are harmonically rich, with the pickups and metal bodies of the instrument melding into a beautifully open, airy tone (and a hint of metallic twang). Notes bloom as they are played, gathering strength and richness as they resonate.
Bohemian is also committed to building guitars sustainably by using less lumber than a traditional guitar, with the necks coming from sustainable forests or reclaimed woods, and the bodies are made partially from recycled materials. Additionally, Bohemian plant one tree with every order received through their partner, Trees for the Future, an organization dedicated to improving the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands.
