The DiMarzio Titan has been designed in collaboration with Periphery guitarist Jake Bowen who has some unique needs when it comes to his guitars sound. This pickup set needed to not only produce crystal clear cleans but also cut through the 3 guitarist mix of Periphery on a high gain sound. The bridge Titan pickup has been made to have to sound great with crushing amounts of gain while still remaining incredibly tight with a responsive low end which is incredibly useful when you want to go to lower tunings.
This is the F Spaced version of this pickup that is made for guitars with tremolo systems.
High Output, Tight Response
When you design a pickup like the Titan for high gain metal it is easy to get lost in just how much gain it produces rather than making sure it has great dynamics and response, which when you have a lot of gain running through your amp is essential. Thankfully DiMarzio have gone all out with this pickup with tight response and a dynamic range that lets you hear every nuance in your playing.
Here's what DiMarzio say about the Titan Bridge Pickup
Many high-output pickups are either very bright or very dark. The Titan Bridge Model is bright where it needs to be - on the low end. The highs are warmer, and the Titan has a distinctive voice that doesn't get lost, even in a dense, three-guitar mix.
