Brand new and ready for you to check out, Fender release the Jim Root Jazzmaster®. This stealth-like guitar may look like it wants to go un-noticed, but this can't be further from the truth. Like any stealth weapon, this six string shred machine will creep up on you and you'll be helpless to escape it once its got you on target lock. A ghostly matt black finish is the perfect compliment to Jim Root's style and personality. Dark and brutal, this guitar will leave you wondering what's hit you! Having stripped all aesthetic markings from the guitar, such the dual tone circuits and barrage of controls. The fret position markers and usual chrome bridge have also been removed along with many other, more standard features in a typical Jazzmaster guitar.
This stripped back signature version refuses to lean on such things and simply lets the music do the talking. The atomic-sounding EMG® 60 (neck) and 81 (bridge) humbucking pickups will provide you with massive sound and presence, cased within tasteful brushed nickel covers, while a single three-way switch and single volume knob leave all the fighting talk at your fingertips on the fingerboard! This super-slick Jazzmaster offers fast and responsive playability, with a mahogany body featuring a contoured neck heel for comfort and speed. A satin-finish maple neck with “modern C” profile and large headstock with compound radius ebony fingerboard (12”-16”) are complimented by its 22 jumbo frets, making this guitar a force not to be reckoned with!
Staggered deluxe locking tuners, creepy black hardware and pickup bezels, and an austere Flat Black satin nitro lacquer finish really highlight the mood of Jim Root's signature sound, while the black tweed case with red plush interior, strap and strap locks, cable and polishing cloth are also welcome features with this guitar!

Here's What Fender say about the Jim Root Jazzmaster:
Stark, dark and menacing, the Jim Root Jazzmaster has got to be the most distinctively minimalist version of the instrument ever devised in the model’s entire half-century history. At the behest of the towering Slipknot/Stone Sour guitarist, gone are the dual tone circuits and barrage of controls. Gone are the fret position markers and enormous chrome bridge. Gone, in fact, is pretty much everything typical of a Jazzmaster guitar, replaced only by fearsome EMG® 60 (neck) and 81 (bridge) humbucking pickups with brushed nickel covers, a single three-way switch, a single volume knob and a hard-tail Stratocaster® bridge.
The Jim Root Jazzmaster also features a mahogany body with a comfortable contoured neck heel, satin-finish maple neck with “modern C” profile and large headstock, compound radius ebony fingerboard (12”-16”) with 22 jumbo frets and no position markers, staggered deluxe locking tuners, black hardware and pickup bezels, and an austere Flat Black satin nitro lacquer finish. Includes black tweed case with red plush interior, strap and strap locks, cable and polishing cloth.
