The OOO37 is inspired by the timeless pre-war Orchestra Model acoustics, among the most popular and iconic instruments of all time. Atkin have carefully tweaked this classic design, resulting in an entirely new playing experience that’s every bit as luxurious as the originals.
Premium OM Design
For the OOO37, Atkin took the OM design and reworked it with a lower bout and shorter scale length (24.9” to be precise). The smaller body and shorter neck results in a warm, folky tone reminiscent of the American instruments of old.
The classic Sitka Spruce and Rosewood combo ensures that every chord strummed and every note plucked is a delight to the ear. Ebony is used for the fingerboard and bridge, which perfectly contrasts with the rich aged nitrocellulose finish that gives the guitar its vibrant hue. While not as loud as their dreadnought offerings, the OOO37 is a wholly musical acoustic experience.
Finish & Electronics Options
Atkin offer two types of finish for all of their guitars: aged and mirror finish. Both are nitrocellulose, but as the name suggests, the former has been painstakingly aged for that vintage vibe. It's also worth noting that while none of the Atkins come with built-in electronics, we'll happily fit some for you. The recommended systems are as follows:
