This is an absolute beast of a bass - 6 strings on a 3 piece maple thru neck EMG pickups and Spector's Tone Pump active tone circuit to boot. The zinc-brass allow nut and bridge will give this bass some serious punch too.
The poplar burl finish looks absolutely stunning, and with the gold-finish hardware theres a real premium feel with this instrument.
Here's what Sepctor say about the Euro6 LX in Poplar Burl Gloss
The Euro6LX offers all of the features that have made the Spector name famous around the globe. The extremely comfortable, fully carved body is crafted from carved European alder body and is topped off with your choice of a USA figured maple or European poplar burl top. A 3 piece maple neck runs through the entire length of the instrument and features a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard with Spector’s signature Crown inlays. Outfitted with a lightweight, zinc brass alloy bridge and nut, premium pickups from EMG & Bartolini, and Spector’s coveted Tone Pump active tone circuit, Euro6LX basses are equipped to hold down the low-end on the world’s biggest stages.
History of Spector
In the late 1970’s, Stuart Spector started crafting handmade basses in his Brooklyn based workshop. By 1977 He and Ned Steinberger had designed what was to become a revolution in the bass world.
The NS-1 stepped away from traditional large, angular bodied basses and created an instrument designed for the modern musician. With curves and contours which sit comfortably against the body, the NS-1 quickly became a favourite amongst progressive players.
The legend of the NS-1 has continued to this day, and the gorgeous curved body that made it unique is used the world over. Spector basses are still a favourite amongst modern players too with artists like Mike Inez (Alice in Chains), Doug Wimbish (Living Colour) and Tom Doyle (Don Broco).
