The Ibanez BTB was originally designed to give you premium bass quality without having to spend the time or money on getting a boutique bass made. Throughout the years there have been plenty of BTBs but now there is one for every price point and this new Premium BTB1606 is a stunning high end model ready to go into your collection.
Premium Touches
Not every bass can say it is has the same quality hardware and meticulous build as something from the Ibanez Premium line. Although this is not the highest end range of Ibanez basses the only thing missing is the 'Made In Japan' tag. It is still a pro grade instrument that will last you for years to come.
Like all Premium range guitars the BTB1606 has been put through the premium fret edge treatment so they are rounded for a smoother playing surface. One of the main parts of Ibanez's philosophy is playability so they make sure nothing is in way of your hands and what you want to play.
Strong Neck
You may have heard of a 5 piece neck, or even a 7 piece neck but what about a 9 piece neck. Each piece of added wenge, bubinga or maple makes the bass more structurally sound so no matter how thick you want the strings to be. Plus with the added Graphite reinforcement rods even in the worst weather this neck will not bend. Like all BTB necks this bass has a wider than normal neck but it is incredibly thin making it just as easy to play. This 6 string may look daunting but when you pick it up those worries will fly away.
Tasty Tasty Burl
This bass is nothing short of stunning. The 9 piece wenge/bubinga/maple neck that runs through the body mixed with the mahogany wings topped with poplar burl produces a gorgeous bass that would fit in on any stage.
Pro Grade Hardware
It isn't all bark and no bite though. This bass performs incredibly well with a plethora of different sounds available to you from this high end gear. To start off you have the sturdy GraphTech BLACK TUSQ XL nut that much like the rest of this bass just will not fail. This is true of the Mono-rail IV bridge as well, set it up once and get ready for the stage.
The pickups are Nordstrand big singles which are well known for giving you a jazz bass on steroids sound but with this preamp they can do so much more. The EQB-IIISC preamp opens your bass up to some incredible new sounds, with a full range 3 band EQ that can be switched on or off and a mid frequency control you really can take this bass from a blues gig to a metal gig and you will have no problems.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
