Epiphone Original Collection Guitars & Basses
Epiphone Original Collection Guitars & Basses
Epiphone is often referred to as Gibson's "budget brand". But when it was acquired in 1957, production remained in the USA and a number of unique models were released under the Epiphone name in the late '50s and throughout the '60s. Since then, Epiphone has largely become known for producing affordable, licensed copies of Gibson's most popular guitars in the Far East - like the Les Paul, SG, Flying V, Explorer, etc.
However, through the newly-conceived 'Original Collection', Epiphone has resurrected several of its signature shapes from this adored musical era. This includes the Coronet, Wilshire P-90 and Crestwood Custom solid-body electric guitars, which all feature elegant symmetrical bodies, proprietary pickups, CTS pots, high-quality Graph Tech NuBone nuts and reduced-size Kalamazoo headstocks with striking "Bikini" badges.
