BC Rich Ironbird Guitars
The Ironbird is one of BC Rich’s oldest guitar models, designed by Joey Rico in 1983. Finding favour with a number of metal artists, namely Trey Azagthoth of Morbid Angel, the Ironbird is known for its angular body shape that sports a number of sharp, dagger-like points. If you’re after an electric guitar reminiscent of a weapon — the BC Rich Ironbird is pretty hard to beat!
The current BC Rich Ironbird range offers a few models, for fans of old and new. The Legacy Series MK1 Ironbird harks back to BC Rich's '80s heyday, with its stealthy all-black colour scheme, single DiMarzio Super Distortion bridge humbucker, and Floyd Rose/Kahler locking tremolo system. The Extreme Series Ironbirds put a more contemporary spin on the formula, with their vibrant burst finish options, active Fishman Fluence pickups, and 5-piece Maple/Wenge necks.
