This is Spaceman Effects' unique stamp on the classic filter! Enter the Artemis: an all-action pedal possessing seven unique modes, ranging from conventional high and low pass filters to extraterrestrial tones.
Sound
The Artemis isn't just a basic filter, but a highly flexible modulated filter. That's how you get your crazy warbles, cocked wah, auto-wah, glitchy chaos and phaser-like sweeps. The Artemis is incredibly dynamic, meaning everything you play has an effect on the sound.
At this level of quality the Artemis beds naturally into your complete guitar tone as if it were part of the furniture. Modulation is fully removable, so you can use the it as a simpler high or low pass filter - or even a three-band EQ.
Here are the seven modulation modes:
- Envelope up
- Envelope down
- LFO triangle wave
- LFO ramp up wave
- LFO ramp down wave
- LFO random wave
- Static
Dials consist of frequency, which sets the range of the sweep for narrow or full passes; amount, which determines the speed of the LFO; sens, regulating dynamic sensitivity and res, acting as an intensity and breakup. On the left hand side of the Artemis is your EQ. All controls are extremely sensitive to placement and are part of what makes the Artemis such an outstanding pedal.
