Historically, Fenders White Blonde finish was often reserved for their most special instruments and models. Think trade show special editions or even the legendary Mary Kaye Stratocaster. Founded towards the end of the 80s, the Fender Custom Shop was Fender’s way of re-establishing the legacy that Leo had created in the early 50s. Arguably the most iconic sound in Strat history. The Custom Shop ‘69 pickups feature all the authentic ingredients to recreate the historic Woodstock Stratocaster tones. Alnico 5 magnets, Grey Fiber Bobbins, Enamel-Coated Magnet Wire and of course, period-correct Cloth Wire. Thumping low-end, sparkling bell-like highs and strong dynamics for a clear and balanced tone.
