Product Description

Originally developed with Guthrie Govan as his 'flying amp', the V30 MKII features an all-new Clean-channel Crunch mode and the footswitchable 'Nomod' function to offer two levels of bass response

The original V30 has very distinct clean and overdrive channels. There is massive headroom and clarity in the former, with a ton of heavy rocking overdrive in the latter. With V30MKII, we've added an extra footswitchable crunch mode to the clean channel - developed for V130 The Super Countess - that offers a whole new palette of pushed clean, crunch and light overdrive tones to the party. Along with the new 'Nomod' function, the V30 is now the ultimate ultra-compact all-rounder.

Two Channels, Three Mode

Footswitchable Clean and Overdrive channels offer chiming, high-headroom cleans through to huge, modern-rock-ready gain. For in-between, low- and mid-gained tones, V30MKII also has a footswitchable Crunch mode in the Clean channel

All New Crunch Mode

This footswitchable addition to the Clean channel brings an extra gain stage to take you into pushed and light overdrive sounds. It's great for anything and everything where a little bit of drive is needed from blues to country to classic rock and more.

High & Low Power Mode

People are often astounded at the punchy, high-headroom clarity of the V30's 42 watts. It's loud enough for almost any stage, but if you want to explore lower volume and a different set of dynamics, you can switch to the low-power 7-watt mode.

Nomod Function

Our new footswitchable low-end response function is a result of some users wanting a tighter feel for the V30, especially with heavier overdrive sounds. However, our dear friend Guthrie Govan likes it exactly as it was, so we are offering you both options.

External Bias Adjustment

No need to fiddle inside the amp when you change output valves. There is also a bias range switch on the chassis to suit either EL34 or 6L6 power valves, so when you've set that correctly, you then use this for the fine-tuning adjustment.

Sometimes, you need flexibility in your amp. You know, a clean sound where you can hear each pickup, play funk or just strum away. The V30 does this. Then, most of the time, I live in the crunch channel - where my strat just sounds perfect. Roll back the volume, and it is clean. Add a little boost for leads - perfection. The v30 does this. Finally, we all need some filth sometimes to give us rich harmonics, and gain which make us feel - only temporarily - like rock gods. The gain is massive, yet you can hear each note. It is addictive, and loud. The v30 does this. In summary, this is a way more flexible amp than my second hand Sheriff 22 - which does 1 sound perfectly, but little else. Don't forget the effects loop on the V30, which allows you to put delay, reverb and a clean boost (or in my case an El Capistan for all 3) to go for epic solos. It gets louder, and sounds wonderful. Cannot recommend this amp enough, it is flexible for most styles, loud enough to be heard in Norway, and compact.

It's the tone that I have chasing for quite some time. Support from Victory is outstanding despite me being in the states. Come on, you get a padded carrying gig bag and 2 pedals with this unit. Every other amp I have owned I had to go out and spend another $40 plus dollars on a channel switching unit(that should already come with the amp) and additional costs for a cover, again that should come standard with the amp. Any amp costing over a thousand dollars should come with a cover at least and a pedal to switch channels. Martin Kid, thank you.
