Product Description

KMA Audio Machines combine premium German engineering with a genuine love for tone. With every pedal handmade in Berlin, KMA use only the best components available to ensure that their stompboxes deliver cutting-edge tones with plenty of flexibility. While taking inspiration from classic effects — KMA design all of their own circuits to modern and forward-thinking standards for first-class performance.

The Wurm 2 distortion pedal is a scarily-good sequel to the original KMA Wurm, based on the iconic "black & orange" distortion pedal famously used by '90s death metallers who wanted the grainiest most extreme high-gain sounds conceivable! Wurm 2 is superior to both the original and its predecessor, with its smaller chassis and top-mounted jacks making it much more pedalboard-friendly, and the ability to switch between EQ settings now available right on the front panel. KMA has also improved the electronics and enhanced their Wurm 2 with relay-based silent switching — all helping to make the unit more flexible.

Key Features

  • Modern take on the classic and now sought-after original Boss HM2 MIJ.
  • Adorned in iconic black and orange colour-scheme reminiscent of its inspiration.
  • Wide range of metal-distortion tones — from chainsaw, to plain evil and gritty!
  • Highly configurable 4-band active EQ for superb tone-sculpting.
  • 3 distinct types of EQ frequency controls to tailor your sound — now accessible on the front rather than internally.
  • 'HM-II' mode will get you that classic "chainsaw" high-mids character.
  • In 'KMA' mode, the EQ is a little more tonally balanced, less peaky and a bit wider in response.
  • Select the 'BOTH' mode to fatten and double up the tone-stacking; ramping up the lows and high-mids.
  • Internal dip-switch activates an input filter; helping to tame the high frequencies when absolutely everything is maxed out.
  • Compact enclosure with top-mounted jacks will fit into any pedalboard setup.
  • True bypass, with silent relay-based soft switching.
  • Handmade in Berlin, Germany to exceptional standards.
  • Modest power requirements (9V DC, centre negative, 2.1 mm, 50 mA current draw). PSU not included.
