T Style Electric Guitars

The T-Style Guitar is delightfully simple, and has a distinctive look and sound. The bolt-on construction gives it a snappy sound with a crisp attack. Traditional T-Styles are built with two single-coils, giving them a bright, twangy sound which is very versatile - ideal for pop, funk, country or rock 'n' roll. Other traditional appointments include brass saddles which provide a particular tone and are said to improve sustain, and metal ashtray style bridges which the bridge pickup is mounted to, contributing to the quintessential twang.

As a staple of Electric Guitar since 1951, many brands have manufactured their own take on the iconic instrument, from vintage inspired to modern. If you're a fan of modern rock or metal, you may want something a bit more contemporary. Many brands such as Ibanez, ESP and Chapman cater to this demographic, bringing this '50s design into the 21st Century. Common modern additions to these instruments include dual humbucker configurations and 6 saddle bridges for individual intonation adjustment.

For a more vintage design, you can't go wrong with the original - the Fender Telecaster, the Squier Telecaster for a budget option. Other great value T-Styles that are more traditional in design include entries from G&L (founded by Leo Fender himself), Sire and EastCoast. By their nature, the simplicity of the T-Style makes them some of the best value guitars on the market. Why not Check out our Best Electric Guitars Under £500!
