Portable Potential

This is Antelopes very first interface to feature bus power. For the uninitiated, this means you'll be able to connect to your laptop or computer to power the unit - all without the need for an external power supply. So whether you're a producer, podcaster, beat maker or content creator, you'll be able to create on the move, anywhere, anytime.

Industry Standard Sound

With the Zen Go Synergy Core you'll capture superior sound that matches the same standard that's usually reserved for professional engineers and artists.

This is made possible by the 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking technology - that's used in high-end studios and during Hollywood scoring sessions across the world - and industry standard AD/DA converters paired with discrete ultra-linear preamps. The latter are commonly found in iconic British and American mixing consoles and ensure an astounding level of clarity.

By adopting Antelope Audio gear, you'll be joining the ranks of award-winning producers and engineers like Adrian Bushby - who was awarded a Grammy for his work on Foo Fighters' 'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace' and other hit records.  He says "I first used Antelope Audio units whilst recording the Grammy Award winning album 'The Resistance' by Muse. They were f***ing amazing then! And they still are!" If that isn't a ringing endorsement, we really don't know what is.

Quality Analog-Modelled Effects

Alongside your Zen Go Synergy Core, you'll receive 37 analog-modelled effects. These are based on highly sought after pieces of vintage gear.

From preamps and EQs, to compressors, reverbs, guitar amps and cabs, harness them to add variety and quality to your music. As a result of the improved onboard Synergy Core processing, you can comfortably layer these effects without having to worry about putting stress on the interface. Slowdown and latency are a thing of the past.

With regards to the guitar cab and amp emulations (22 in all), you'll be able to craft a serious amount of contrasting tones from this interface; there really are no limits here. Whether you're recreating classic studio sounds or producing new ones entirely, the creative possibilities are almost endless.

Flexible Connectivity

A selection of different connectivity makes the Zen Go Synergy Core a versatile device that'll slot seamlessly into your production setup. The full range of connections are outlined below, and it's safe to say you won't be scrabbling round for options - no matter how you like to make music.

Bought the Antelope Zen Go as an upgrade from a Focusrite Scarlet. The difference in sound quality is night and day. I predominantly bought this for tracking which is a pleasure with the onboard DSP and pre-amps which are crystal clear in comparison. The Zen Go took a bit of setting up and my PC was stuttering a bit on some old large projects, and having read some poor reviews on Antelope USB drivers I thought I may regret buying this initially. Also the included additional plug in bundle did not install as per the instructions. Spoke to Antelope who were amazing. Answered the phone at 10pm within one ring and remotely installed the bundle and a different driver which fixed the issue. The rerouting of using onboard FX takes a little setting up between the DAW and Antelope control panel, but it is easy enough to do. Saying this, the unit is quite limited in the amount of plugins you can run straight off it and while I recommend it highly for tracking vocal and instruments I would not recommend it for relying on lots of DSP plugins when mixing and would suggest their more expensive interfaces. I have rated it 5 stars as this was not the reason I bought it, and the clarity was worth every penny

Had two sent out, returned the first due to visual glitches on display and static. Second one mad my monitors hiss, after a week or testing through trial and error it was the interface again, not monitors, plugs or cables. My old Steinberg UR22 worked fine with speakers

I bought the Zen Go to replace a Focusrite 18i20. I've used the 18i20 for several years, and whilst being utterly reliable (never crashed, never clicked or popped) it was ok but not sonically brilliant. The Zen Go is the exact opposite. On the plus side it sounds absolutely excellent. The clarity and stereo imaging is superb. On the down side it crashes sometimes, and what is extremely worrying is that it regularly sends massive spikes into my monitors. Also the headphone output sometimes sends out 0dB digital screaming hash. This is not cool when you're working with professional musicians - they're not prepared to have their hearing attacked! Rebooting the system (mac 6,1 and Catalina) always fixes it, but that's very inconvenient in the middle of a recording session. (If you're wondering, Yes my sample rates are matched, yes the system is locked, and no ProTools 2021 and LogicProX aren't responsible)

The Zen Go solved all my problems with previous audio interface. Monitoring latency when tracking, twin headphone outputs with separate mix control, DSP effects to provide enhanced monitoring when tracking, outboard DAW effect and low CPU load, and an incredibly low price.

Excellent interface, easy to set up and used and have noticed the quality of an Antelope product. Bought for use on the road, its light and robust and has excellent software to go with it, would definitely recommend.

Software needs sorting out too much latency

Using the control panel for more than just setting the bit rate etc. can be a bit daunting at first, coming from my quite long-in-the tooth Steinberg UR28M, but it is worth the extra time to figure things out. Most of the input levels, phantom power and such needs to be set from within the software, rather than physical knobs, but the advantage is that you can save and recall 'sessions' rather than having to keep a note of what you set for different circumstances (various vocal mics somedays, instruments others and so on). The DSP effects were something I was particularly interested in, and I wasn't disappointed. While the controls available on the guitar amp sims are less complex than on the likes of Amplitube and Guitar Rig, for me the sounds are more true, especially on the cleaner sounds, and of course the near-zero latency makes it feel like a 'real' amp. I managed to get an excellent bass recording set up very quickly. I would have to say that the bundle which included the AFX2DAW plug-in was invaluable for re-amping. It *can* be done through the control panel routing, but that is something that takes a bit of time to set up, so it is worth trying to get the plugin, if like me you just want to get playing and recording. I was surprised that the sound wasn't a 'night and day' difference to the UR28M, but it was time to make a move forward, and I'm pleased I now have taken the jump.
