A good quality power supply for up to 10 units. Slim unit which does not take up a lot of space. Very happy with it.

Like so many IT products, clever design but a complete failure to understand that the new user needs more explanation of the product.

Gets the job done. However, side effect of constant high pitch whining noise when switched on and pedals in use (for me). Devent value for money though.

A couple of guitars, guitar leads, amps and plug sockets were used as a process of elimination but this power supply still made a weird noise so was returned and replaced within 48hrs. The second one again made the same noise as you can see in the attached vid. This one was also tested in other properties as a process of elimination before being returned for a refund. A cheaper power supply was borrowed from a mate and worked perfectly with the same guitar / amp set up. Refund was in my account within a week.

Plenty of ka-boom for your ka-buck. A very reasonably priced and compact unit without much compromise. Daisy chains ****, they’re rubbish, and they’re also not very good.

Punches well above it’s price point - silent operation & plenty of power for all my analogue pedals.

Fantastic for the money. Literally no noises coming from my pedal chain and the range of power inputs is fantastic.

Great amount of power sockets and power variety. However, no easy way of securing to the underside of the pedalboard and had to resort to cable ties which feels cheap.

The Tone City Substation 1 is a decent option for an inexpensive pedal power supply. The Andertons video for this claims that the outputs are isolated, which they are - kind of. They are isolated from each other if a fault crops up that would otherwise affect the entire PSU, but not in the same way that the True Tone 1-Spot CS-7 is.
My first unit had a fault that I was concerned might be a result of this lack of isolation, but the second was fine.
The unit has two outputs that can be varied from 9v through to 18v, with 9v, 15v, and 18v marked. It would have been helpful for 12v to be marked for Boss pedals, although it is easy enough to position it halfway between 9v and 15v, and the Boss pedals seem to work fine on the power they receive.
It's a good small and unobtrusive unit although I would be concerned about serious live use since instead of a kettle lead and just the unit, there's an adapter and a fairly lightweight power plug into the back of the unit that looks a lot like the power cable that goes into a pedal. Maybe that's Tone City's logic, flimsy power connections go to the pedals, so why get all industrial just for the PSU?
I'm not pushing the unit too hard because it is on a second board that has largely low Amperage pedals on it. I suspect it'll do fine with a typical set of 8-10 pedals so long as they are not too thirsty.

Great for it’s price, power leads are a bit short and I don’t own many 500ma pedals, but it does the job very well. Feels heavy but is very compact, looks a bit like a WiFi router as well, so if you’re like me you can trick people at gigs into asking you for the WiFi password just by painting it brilliant white with a netgear/virgin media logo

Great little power supply, bit of a squeeze in a Pedaltrain Nano. Cables with right angles both ends would be better. I went for this because it has 2x 18v outs so i can plug my line 6 into if off board.

Bargain, bargain, bargain! Proper 10 way supply. Smaller than most because of the external transformer, but it brings the pedals to life, shuts up the uninsulated hum and even has decent lead lengths.

This is a very affordable well built power supply. It works really well and has good features.
My suggestions for the manufacturer would be:
make a 15 out version of the same unit, and
include a mounting system that could fix it to pedal boards.
It is a great product at a great price

Good power supply. I've not gotten any noise through using it.
I only really needed 9v outputs as only one of my pedals requires more than 9v (and that's 22v...Good luck finding a power bank with one of those on it), but the end two ports allowing you to change the voltage between 9v-18v is great as I lose nothing but have the option of adding pedals requiring a higher voltage if I need to in the future.
