Sounds awesome.the tones you can get are really varied.both my tele and Strat sound amazing through it and it’s tightened up the bass end in my blues jr.highly recommended.

By far one of the best pedals I have, Absolutely love it. I live with the Boost on with my Strat (fat 50 pickups). Pete's description I spot on, just gives more 'Head Room' and a richer sound. Drive is awesome and very dynamic giving lots of flexibility.

Great construction, brilliant tones great dynamics especially when the boost is stacked with the drive. Buckets of headroom on the boost too. This has definitely eeked about as much tone out of my modest amp (Orange CR60) as is possible. Put into a Fender style clean valve amp (now the next purchase) I can only imagine how good it would sound.

Just recently purchased The Dane and already I am delighted with it.
Having a boost and overdrive on the same pedal is excellent.I keep the boost on constantly on a low setting.
The lows function is great for me as I play Strats and Teles.
Great job Danish Pete and Adrian Thorpe.
Well worth the money as the build quality is superb.

It may seem a little pricey but when you consider it’s a boost and an OD in a good looking package it’s not much different from Walrus or Wampler or another boutique pedal. Plus it’s unique and resale in the USA is super high. I made money buying this across the pond. Ridiculous I know. Bit no way I’m selling it.

Only just started to exploring the tones available but the more I hear the more I like it. Particularly the boost. That it sounded great with my tele was no surprise given the heritage, but I was blown away by what it did coupled to my Gretsch.
It looks built to last and the little mauve lights when the boost/overdrive are engaged, a nice touch ;-)

Tons of fun great pedal! My only grumble is that having paid £250 for an effect pedal, i would have expected a 9v standard power supply to be included which it wasn't.

Cons: The knob labels could be a little easier to read, but that’s a pretty minor complaint. I play outside a lot, hope the chrome face doesn’t blind me lol.

Totally brilliant pedal. Great range of sounds and, very importantly for us home recordists, it is quiet and works really well with other pedals. I use an Iridium as a DI box and The Dane really brings it to life. An Iridium is a bit dull without a good pedal in front of it IMHO.

Fantastic pedal. I purchased from Andertons and even with shipping, it was $40 cheaper than I could get it in the US from one of our stores that had it. This is a fantastic drive pedal. I'm planning to build a board based on Pete's and this is one of the must have pedals. I've got this paired with my JHS Morning Glory V4 and the two work together beautifully. I set up the Morning Glory with just the slightest amount of gain for a clean tone and then push that into the Dane for a nice breakup than when rolled down on volume gives incredible tone. While I don't sound like Pete, this definitely got me closer. The boost is also very useful, even when not making anything louder. You can turn the boost all the way down and use the lows knob to add or remove some of the lows depending on your amp and play style which is how I use the boost side of the pedal. I really can't find anything bad to say about the pedal and wish I would have purchased it long ago.

There is a lot of hype for this pedal and the most improtant question has to be - is it worth the hype. The answer from me is a resounding YES. I mean really YES. If you are reading this ... why haven't you bought one yet. It may appear expensive but it is not. This is genuinely two unbelievably good pedals in one.
I use the pedal in front os a lighly driven amp.
The boost does everything you want a amp pushed drive to do it pushes it into a sweet naturally overdriven tone that absolutely rocks.
Then the drive side takes you to a new level altogether.
The tone this amp produces is unparalleled and I would suggest that the hype for this pedal does not go far enough. It really is that good.
In the same way that the Depp Oggin is the last Chorus pedal you ever need to buy - this is the last drive pedal you ever need to buy.
That said I also have a Redbeard Red Mist IV for when I am feeling really naughty.

Absolute killer! I had about 30 different, top boutique ODs but this one really outpaces majority of them. It pushes your amp pretty strongly but in a way that squeezes the juice both from your guitar and from your amp. After buying The Dane I decided to sell several other ODs from my pedalboard as they simply become obsolete as I spend majority of time with The Dane. This is a great pedal for single coil pickups. The boost section really enhances the cleans by thickening the tones and Can be left on all the time. The drive section is great for low gain tones and works really nicely with the guitars volume control to find the sweet spot of break up while still retaining clarity and string definition.

As a typical guitar player i have been trying to get "that sound" for years and tried loads of different pedals. Pete's signature pedal delivers plenty of class tones and especially that oh so hard to get clean but dirty sound. The boost side is the icing on the cake and just adds that certain something even by itself on a clean amp base sound and is superb with the overdrive side engaged.One helluva of a pedal which frankly makes all my others redundant.It is a keeper for sure and already is always on.Cannot recommend it enough!

This thing is sublime. Looks cool and is built like a tank, as you'd expect from Thorpy FX. Sounds fantastic too. Really brings single coil guitars to life but also sounds great on humbuckers. If you're looking for a top-notch light to mid-drive pedal that's transparent with good headroom look no further. The boost side is phenomenal too. The lows setting on it is genius to help you retain a lovely fat tone but doesn't muddy up your signal. Top marks Adrian & Pete

Big fan of Pete and always wanted a Thorpy in my collection, so this was perfect. Beautiful, well built and 'does a thing' well, to my ears. Sure it's a bit expensive, but you have to support the people who do the things you like, otherwise you don't get what you like.

Very versatile pedal and love the sense of headroom the boost creates - such a clever variation to the usual straight volume or gain boosts (although can obviously do those as well). If you love the lower to mid gain tones that Pete uses and the style of music he loves (Mayer, Prince etc) then you can’t go wrong with the Dane!

Loving this. To be fair I am a bit of a Thorpy fanboy but I had never quite got on with the gunshot as an overdrive (I know, I'm about the only person on the planet who feels that). The Dane is a completely different style of overdrive though with some amazing sounds that slice through even a busy mix. Records brilliantly. Works well with single coils - I don't have a tele but I can tell you it is killer with a McCarty 594 in split coil mode - it also works nicely with HBs and p90s, whether or not you dial back the gain even more. It gives a thick, full sound but with plenty of cut. How does he do that?! Wide range of useable tones. Purple LEDs. What not to like?

Great boost and overdrive. The colour and tone is beautiful and I love the dynamic response of the gain.
Since you can colour the boost channel I personally use it as both clean boost an EQ... sounds great clean or into the gain of your amp.
