I did have a small problem to start with but It was quickly resolved by Andertons staff I have used the 8 track version of this make and this product is equally as good, easy to get started with and lots of effects to play with. Within a week I was recording my 6 piece band with all the members very impressed with the results. I should add we are all retired pensioners living the dream and we are not easily impressed but we all are this time

Still learning to drive this. Feels top quality, ecellent sound and good effects. It's a Tascam, simple as that.

I had the smaller 8 track model and upgrading to this was everything I expected and more. As you expect with Tascam the build quality is impressive and the recorder is a joy to use with plenty of flexibility in the controls and signal paths. Inspiring to use.

Basically this is a very good product. The overall feel of the unit is solid, with smooth fader action and a logical layout. Operation is reasonably intuitive although I haven't explored all the facilities yet. However, I was able to record basic tracks within ten minutes of unboxing. The DP32SD is great if you don't want the faff of DAW recording and especially if you want to use real instruments. Digital quality and facilities for the analogue generation (I am 67 and remember reel-to-reel tape...).
Loses one star for the following reasons:
1) Manual could be a lot better, as is usually the case. I would rather have a really comprehensive pdf than a skimpy paper version (and the unneeded language versions. They should employ Phil Tipping who makes great Youtube videos for this machine.
2) Some of the routing control logic is less obvious than it could be.
3) The guitar FX section is limited to cabinet emulation, can't really see the point of this.
Otherwise really good machine and I am looking forward to my first album!

I have yet to fully test this product, but so far it's OK. I am worried though, as despite being sold as a new product there are fingermarks on some of the controls and an already opened bag within the box making it look far more like a repaired or returned item. I can't explain this and neither it seems can Andertons. Not very impressed.

Possible intermittent record button but could be slow mix loading, will keep an eye on it. Manual not always clear, luckily we have Phil Tipping on YouTube. A lot easier to use than the Roland 1680 I bought from you years ago at three times the price!

The service was first class and the item was for sale at a very good price compared to others shops selling the same item.

Terrific recorder - a bit of a steep learning curve, worth checking out the Youtube tutorials as it can be a shock not to be getting anything into or out of the mixer at first! Fantastic quality output. Reverb pretty nice too.

Fantastic piece of kit. Only ever used to using an 8 track, so it's out of this world.

Brilliant product. Quality of the unit is very good. Sound recorded is also very good. The mix-down and mastering is excellent.
Only gripe is there is no external clock facility.

This is a good, flexible and welcome hardware based multitrack solution in a marketplace that is moving towards DAW technology. The one failing I have observed is a very audible hiss produced by the headphone amplifier circuitry. This hiss does not appear on recorded tracks or from the stereo out or monitor out connectors. This flaw is not limited to the unit I purchased as I had Andertons replace it (which they did without any delay - thanks !!) and the same problem presented itself in the replacement unit. The Tascam DP32SD is a very viable product and has a good price-point though there is room for improvement. For example it would be excellent if it had LED indicators to show which tracks contain recorded data (as is done on the Roland BR1600CD, a closely equivalent product) which is not always easy to determine on a many track recording. Finally the onboard effects section is somewhat limited which may prove troublesome unless external effects are available via the send/return loop.
In summary I do not regret the purchase but whilst the DP32SD is well built and very capable, there are areas that could be better Even if these improvements raised the price point I would still seriously consider this device

good but footpedal to punch in and out while recording should be a standard supply item and not a separate purchase as its an integral item otherwise you need three hands to play guitar and record at the same time. tascam should not follow boss policy in not giving crucial kit like mains leads and pedals. otherwise good product which performs well. pro audio dvd by david wills would be a great support package but ive ordered it from oz.

Just getting into what this can do. The features are outstanding for the price & this is ideal for those like me who never got into home recording on a computer.

Had an older Tascam 2488 - the operation of the DP32 takes just a little getting used to after that but, in my opinion, it really does produce superior results.
