Rupert Neve Design Preamp

Steinberg worked with the legendary Rupert Neve Designs to incorporate SILK processing into the microphone preamps. Switch between two settings - Red for flair and energy, and Blue for solidity and power - to add articulate flavours to your recording. 

SILK also handles how the broad EQ settings and reverb plug-ins affect the sound. It can be applied to any or all of the mic inputs to provide depth to the mix. Recording engineers have used Rupert Neve preamps for decades because of their natural compression and saturation.

32-bit recording

Everything you'd come to expect of Steinberg can be found in the AXR4T. Quality 32-bit analog to digital conversion for latency-free, transparent signal through the 28x24 interface and Thunderbolt connection. 

Not only does this increase the headroom and general dynamic range on offer, but it captures the sound in meticulous detail you simply cannot find on inferior I/Os. Combined with the increase to 384 kHz sample rate, and you have an audio interface at the top of the recording game. 

Plug-ins & Clean Recording

Naturally, the AXR4T works perfectly with Cubase software, but is completely compatible with all other major DAWs. Plug-ins include Yamaha custom Vintage classic compressor and '70s style EQ, as well as the rich REV-X reverb and Sweet Spot Morphing channel strip.

Recording benefits from a number of thoughtful features to make the experience as seamless as possible. Count on latency-free monitoring thanks to the newest SSP3 DSPX chip, while the latest jitter reduction technology eliminates the effect of the internal clock's beat on the audio band.

Connectivity

As well as four combo inputs, the comprehensive 28-in, 24-out include eight TRS line-ins and eight line-outs will have you covered for a variety of studio setups. Of course, MIDI connections are included for complete control of parameters. Chain the AXR4T to three other units if you need to expand on your I/Os.
