Product Description

The Shubb capo models C4, C4B, C4k, and S4 are made to fit a fretboard radius of approximately 7.25 inches (as opposed to Shubb`s standard steel string models, which can nicely accommodate a radius ranging from 9 to 16 inches).

Shubb having been designing capos for over thirty years already, and the basic recipe has never changed. These smart, rolling-clip-style capos are used by millions of guitarists all over the world, and now, to accommodate vintage models with a 7.25 inch fretboard, they drop the C4 Standard. This exclusively designed capo bears the same construction as the Deluxe Series capos, so you're assured of smooth ease-of-use and secure performance.

The Shubb C4 Capo: For Vintage Guitars

Back in the sixties, many guitars were often fitted with extremely round fretboards with a 7.25 inch radius - far rounder than modern fretboards. So, if you happen to own an antique sixties guitar, you're going to have trouble using a standard capo. Even if it happens to clamp down across every string, you'd be lucky not to have any intonation issues. This is exactly why Shubb offer the C4 Standard, making guitarists able to set up discerning guitarists with a tailor-made tool for their vintage model.
