New to Moog: Wavefolding capabilities

Mavis features a first for Moog - a wavefolding circuit, which allows for new additive synthesis options alongside traditional subtractive synthesis that Moog are renowned for. A wide variety of modular utilities are available such as attenuators, offsets, mults and a flexible DC-coupled mixer.

Features Galore

A Voltage Controllable Oscillator with PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), Waveform mixing, and Mod Source mixing, delivers rich harmonic character and motion. Sculpt your sound with the -24-dB Moog Low Pass Ladder Filter, delivering the sonic power behind the distinct sounds of Moog basslines and leads. Mavis uses crossfaders in its modulation routing instead of switches, allowing you to blend between a variable shape LFO and four stage envelope generators for interesting and unusual sonic possibilities.

Assessible for Everyone

Users of all skills levels can quickly assemble their own analogue synth in no time at all! Mavis semi-modular design and 1-octave keyboard will get you started making sound immediately and presents a perfect option for first time users and experienced synthesists alike!

Use Mavis standalone or integrate into your existing setup

Mavis is capable of operating as a standalone instrument but with its patchable modular utilities, it can do a lot more! You can easily remove Mavis from its case to turn it into a 24-point CV controllable module (44hp) ready to be added to your Eurorack setup or alongside any of Moog's other semi-modular instruments!

Great little synth from Moog. Fat sound and a well thought out patch bay make it an excellent addition to any modular setup. I use mine with a Moog Grandmother and it adds a load of extra functionality especially with the foldback circuit!!

I bought the Mavis to do a Sarah Belle Reid online course focused on it. The Mavis is a brilliant introduction to modular and semi modular synthesis and probably the best value for this on the street. It is fun putting it together and it sounds great with the famous Moog ladder filter. It's patchbay really opens up the sounds you can create. Highly recommended.

The Mavis is an affordable way of adding Moog tone to your setup - really great sounds from a small space, with great options to start my eurorack setup. The knobs are a bit small - larger pitch knob would improve accuracy for example but a minor concern compared to what you get out of it.
