Product Description

The Schecter E-1 is an unadulterated metal machine from every angle. Forming part of Schecter's Apocalypse line, the E-1 boasts unique looks, premium tonewoods and USA made Apocalypse-VI™ pickups for crushing "end of the world" metal tones! The unique Red Reign finish is beautifully brutal and is guaranteed to make you stand out on stage!

Beneath the E-1's aggressive looking surface, you'll find a number of player friendly features that will satisfy even the most discerning players. With Stainless Steel frets, a 12"-16" compound radius, locking tuners and glow-in-the-dark fret markers, the E-1 is a modern powerhouse that is sure to appeal to any metalhead!

Construction

The Schecter E-1 features a Swamp Ash body which serves as a great tonal foundation for the powerful pickups. Typically a light weight tonewood, Swamp Ash has a big, balanced tone with plenty of bottom end, making it perfect for those brutal, detuned metal riffs!

The E-1 has a thin "C" shape neck made from Maple and Padauk with Carbon Fibre reinforcement rods for added stability. Maple/Padauk is a combination often used on metal guitars as it adds a midrange presence that is ideal for heavy, palm muted riffage! An Ebony fingerboard with a compound 12"-16" radius makes lead lines feel effortless and the jumbo stainless steel frets enable plenty of extreme string bends and won't wear out over time.

Electronics

The E-1 may be a metal guitar but it is by no means a one-trick pony. Loaded with a pair of Schecter's USA made Apocalypse-VI™ humbuckers, the E-1 delivers brutal, searing metal tones with plenty of attitude. A push/pull tone pot adds the flexibility of a coil split for some spanky single coil tones and a master volume control keeps things nice and simple.

Hardware

Schecter certainly haven't skimped on quality when it comes to the E-1's hardware. Thanks to a set of Schecter's locking tuners, string changes are incredibly quick and easy on the E-1. At the other end, a rock solid TonePros T3BT TOM bridge & T1Z tailpiece ensure optimal tuning stability and intonation, no matter how heavy your strings or riffs get! The fingerboard is adorned with stylish Roman numeral inlays and the side dot markers glow in the dark so you'll never lose your way on dark stages.
