Product Description

Perhaps the most useful company in the world? Palmer don't go to town with gimmicks and fancy styling - they just make boxes that solve the common problems gigging guitarists encounter every day, and up till now they have simply lived with! Their units work reliably with no nonsense and pass sound without affecting your tone.

Reamping is probably the best recording invention of our generation. It enables scores of bedroom guitarists to record their tracks late at night, scores of producers the ability to create great sounds on record, and scores of mediocre guitarists to concentrate on their playing instead of their tone!

Simply record your guitar part with a D.I. box without worrying about perfecting your tone or Mic positioning. Then when you're ready, run it back from your multitrack recorder, through the DACCAPO into your amp and get the mic positioning and tone right without worrying about the performance. DACCAPO takes care of all the pitfalls of this method so the final result sounds exactly as if you were playing through the amp as normal.

Here's what Palmer say about the DACCAPO:

A Reamping box is mainly used in studios, with this box you can play back a recorded guitar signal (or any other instrument signal) and send it to an amplifier where it is picked up by microphones and recorded again. This way the recording engineer can experiment with the sound of an instrument. The Daccapo takes care of all impedance matching issues and also eliminates ground loop humming thanks to the use of a Transformer. The signal level to the amplifier can also be adjusted with a level pot.

Really great quality piece of kit, it's just simple and works well. I've not tried it through an amp yet, but I used it to resample through guitar pedals and it worked fine with a bit of gain adjustment.

Provides a clean stage between interface and amplifier. Comparisons show no difference in tone between direct and re-amped guitar.
