The 408 is a unique instrument, bringing the the versatility of an acclaimed Limited Edition guitar to PRS' Core lineup. Following the iconic Custom 22/24 formula with its modern double-cut body shape and playable 25" scale length, the PRS 408 features a distinctive set of pickups that expand the instrument's tonal range for added flexibility.
Body & Neck
PRS' 408 boasts a Mahogany body, delivering a warm sound with plenty of harmonic richness in the mid-range. Adorned with a gorgeous Carved Figured Maple top, this guitar's beauty is guaranteed to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end!
Joining the body is a Mahogany neck carved to PRS' acclaimed "Pattern Regular" profile. Providing a natural and supportive feel, the neck is also topped with a silky smooth Rosewood fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers.
408 Pickups
The PRS 408's pickups are designed for ultimate expression. Extending the guitar’s tonal spectrum by narrowing the field of the bass pickup to increase its focus and widening the field of the treble pickup to increase its sound field, this pickup configuration hearkens back to sonic experiments that PRS' founder, Paul Reed Smith, carried out on a test guitar in the early '80s.
A flexible switching system gives you a wide tonal palette, allowing to get the best out of the amazing pickups. Sporting mini-toggle switches that offer numerous combinations of humbucking and single-coil tones, the 408 provides stunning articulation and musical clarity.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
