Product Description

The Paul's Guitar is essentially the signature model of PRS' founder - Paul Reed Smith. A production version of Paul's personal Private Stock guitar, every single aspect of this instrument was spec'd up by the man himself and possesses some interesting features that separate it from any other PRS model.

Here are some words from Paul Reed Smith himself: “I don’t just like the newest version of my guitar, I love it. With these new pickups, I can move from a strong bridge pickup to a very clear, 'whoopy' neck pickup – you can hear every note – by just setting the mini-toggles and using the 3-way as normal. It’s a highly musical and very usable setup."

Made In Maryland

Like all USA PRS instruments, the Paul's Guitar is crafted at the company's legendary Maryland factory. They combine traditional luthier practices and hi-tech CNC machines to build instruments of the highest quality every time, while still offering that personal hand-made touch.

Body & Neck

The PRS Paul's Guitar boasts a Mahogany body, delivering a warm sound with plenty of harmonic richness in the mid-range. Adorned with a stunning Carved Figured Maple top, this instrument's beauty is guaranteed to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end.

Joining the body is a Mahogany neck shaped to PRS' "Pattern" profile. While the material adds plenty of warmth to the guitar's overall sound, the neck carve provides a comfortable and supportive feel by striking the perfect balance modern and traditional profiles. The neck is also topped with a silky smooth Honduran Rosewood fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers.

High-Quality Hardware

PRS spared no expense when it came to this instrument's hardware and electronics. The PRS Stoptail bridge keeps things solid, with its brass inserts enhancing sustain and resonance. At the other end of the guitar you’ll find a set of PRS Phase III locking tuners that'll keep your tuning super-stable too.

Flexible Electronics

The PRS Paul's Guitar features TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) Treble and Bass pickups with two mini-toggle switches that allow you to put either or both pickups in humbucking or true single-coil modes. The clarity and unique tones of these vintage-inspired pickups are both big and nuanced, so that you can easily find your tonal sweet spot.
