The Kickstand from Primeacoustic allows you to pick up the perfect kick drum sound by eliminating disruptive resonance usually present in recordings and live miking situations
The Kickstand combines a heavy microphone boom arm, a stablising base and an isolation pad to allow the mic to focus on the sound of the bass instrument.
Recording bass instruments can often result in common problems, like low frequency resonances with flooring, and unwanted vibrations caused by pa systems or the drums themselves transferring to the mic. The Kickstand helps to eliminate these problems by isolating the stand from the floor with a design to hold the microphone firmly in place.
This is done with a thick, high density acoustic foam isolation pad as contact with the floor. This is topped with a lazer cut wedge steel platform to eliminate standing waves. Add a suitable boom arm and adjust for the perfect angle.
Although originally developed for a bass drum, the Kickstand works fantastically for all guitar and bass cabinets and low frequency instruments that may be affected by floor resonance.
