Product Description

J. Rockett's Uni-Verb pedal lets you experience the iconic analogue sounds of the legendary Univibe, combined with all the perks that come with modern stompbox design. It's able to recreate the classic modulated tones you'd expect, but J. Rockett have also added a vintage spring tank reverb — oozing out even more retro goodness!

24V Internal Voltage

The Uni-Verb runs at 24 volts just like the original, but this is achieved internally. This means that you can enjoy the extra headroom and still only power the unit with a conventional negative tip 9-volt PSU — making it much more convenient without having to fuss with any conversion!

Built-In FX Loop

The classic Univibe sounded best before overdrives and other effects, so J. Rockett decided to build in a loop that enables you to separate the Uni-Verb's vibe and reverb sides. Both effects can be run individually, or together for a super-wet and affected tone.

Modern Refinements

Some of the features found on an original Univibe are a little bit basic by today's standards, such as the lack of control over the turnaround thump of the effect. The Uni-Verb rectifies this by having two separate knobs for the chorus section ('Chorus Mix' and 'Intensity'), allowing for complete control over the intensity and turnaround thump of the chorus. The 'Intensity' dial also adjusts the vibrato, however, the 'Chorus/Mix' knob does not.

Both sections blend seamlessly into the output control, which allows for slightly more volume than a vintage Univibe and both effects will vibe/chorus faster and slower than the original. Modern iterations of the Univibe tend to be too intense and less musical, but J. Rockett feel that they have achieved the perfect balance just like the original. Plus, there's added Reverb on top — for even more atmosphere!
