About the Sontronics STC-1 Small Diaphragm Microphone Silver
The Sontronics STC-1 pencil-style condenser mic is perfectly suited to recording instruments of any kind: guitars, strings, wind, brass, ethnic, drums or percussion.
This Pencil mic certainly has a unique look, with a particularly striking set of rear ports with a stripe and dots pattern. This is not just a funky design though, as the shape of those rear ports have been proven to better control soundwaves entering the rear of the capsule.
The STC-1 is ideal for spot-miking, as well as turned into a stereo spaced pair for miking choirs and other groups. The Mic boasts the Sontronics signature super smooth high-frequency roll off, making it automatically sit in your mix better than most of the competition without having to eq!
About the Sontronics DM-1B Bass Drum/Bass Instrument Condenser Microphone
Representing over two years of research, development and field testing, Sontronics DM-1B for kick drum and our pencil condensers (DM-1T for tom and DM-1S for snare) take Sontronics further into application-specific miking.
The DM-1B is a large-diaphragm, end-fire condenser microphone that has been designed specifically to capture and reproduce the various characteristics of a kick drum: the beater click, the heavy thump, the boomy decay and so on. The Sontronics DM-1B has a switchable -15dB pad that allows the microphone to deal with a whopping 155dB, and its sturdy build plus the aluminium flightcase mean it will perform equally well in the studio and in live applications.
The DM-1B and our other drum mics were all tested to destruction before launch, by various session drummers, live musicians and producers, including Flood (U2, Killers, Arctic Monkeys) who found that the DM-1B also gives excellent results on bass instruments, especially bass guitar cabs For a kick drum or bass instrument stand that stands out in the mix and is comparable to that offered by mics costing up to ten times the price, the Sontronics DM-1B is the obvious choice.

The Sontronics DM-1S and DM-1T are your passport to drum sound perfection, guaranteeing incredible and unmatchable results from your snare and toms, whether you’re in the studio, at home or on the road. These mics will capture all the unmistakable characteristics of your drums, from the crack of the initial hit and the sizzle of your snare right through to the boomy resonance of your lowest tom tom.
They also sound superb on other percussion instruments such as cajón, djembe, bongos, tabla, congas and more. Both mics feature a -10dB pad switch, making them capable of withstanding an impressive 135dB SPL, enough to cope with even the most heavy of hitters!

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
