The Veritas Portlander is what you get if you merge together some classic singlecut styles with a flat top 'T' design. Fitted with a pair of sweet humbucking pickups, a Bigsby B5 tremolo and made by some of the best luthiers in the world this Veritas Portlander is a real beauty to behold.
Veritas Quality
Veritas Guitars are a tiny company based out of the pacific northwest USA and in the last few years have proved themselves as some of the best guitar builders in the world. Making instruments that take vintage inspiration and bring it forward to the 21st century these became incredibly popular in the USA offerings up something different to every other company.
Classic Build
The Portlander is quite clearly the love child of two of the worlds more iconic guitars. With an Alder body, Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard it is certainly has the look and feel of a classic T type. The hardware points in a different direction though with a Bigsby B5 tremolo system matched with a rolling bridge and a pair of classically voiced vintage humbuckers.
Modern Tweaks
Veritas have made some great changes to parts of the vintage specs however to suit some more modern styles. For example the fretboard has a compound radius. This means that near the nut the fretboard is rounder at 9.5" radius and up near the pickups it is 16", much flatter, much better for solos. Small tweaks like this can be found all over this guitar.
El Rayo Pickups
Veritas guitars typically use Lollar pickups as standard and for this particular model, they've chosen the El Rayo set. El Rayos have a clear and bright top end but beautiful, bold low end. They are low output pickups with a strong midrange bump for those PAF style tones. Veritas guitars are able to spec their guitars with any pickups that you want, however they currently match their guitars with Lollar pickups.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
Then, your order will come through to Andertons and we'll send you the goods. Get approval before 3pm and we'll send your order out the same working day (stock permitting) for next working day delivery!
Who can apply for finance?
You must: spend over £300, be at least 18 years of age, have been a UK resident for 3 years or more, be able to make repayments by Direct Debit, be in regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment.
