Product Description

Ibanez want to deliver amazing guitars at all price points and nothing shows that off more than the SR line. The SR370 may have the price tag of a high end beginners guitar but the feel and tonal versatility makes sure it punches way above its price bracket. Built to Ibanez's high standards and with all new hardware the 2016 version of the SR370E is nothing short of amazing.

Quality Build

Simplicity is key with the SR370. The body is made out of Maple for a bright and snappy tone that makes the most of the new PowerSpan pickups. It is also carved extremely thin to make it comfortable to play for any size of player. It sits close and doesn't destroy your back when playing live, what's not to love about that!

Killer New Hardware

No one wants to buy a bass just to find out that the pickups or preamp just arn't up to scratch which is why pretty much across all of their active basses you have Ibanez's own top grade preamps. With a 3 band EQ you can easily cover most styles but what makes this bass different to a lot of the others is how this works with the new PowerSpan pickups.

These open poled humbuckers have three different setting integrated in to the preamp. First of all you have the standard humbucking mode with no changes to the pickup. The next position cuts off one of the sets of poles giving you an authentic single coil sound. Finally the third option is a single coil setting but with an enhanced low end for when you need to rumble some seats.

Lovely bass. Andertons did a great deal since the Aged Whiskey Burst (AWB) was "end of line" and being replaced with a slightly different colour, but the new SR370 is functionally the exact same, and I prefer this "older" burst. Wanted to learn bass, since played guitar for years. It is a great beginner/intermediate bass, and don't plan on changing it any time soon. Very nicely setup, straight out of the box, action wasn't too high, Would prefer if the fretboard was darker (e.g. Rosewood) instead of Pau-Ferro, and it has a 3 piece body, so can kinda see the lines between the sections in the body, but either way sound really good to my ear. The on-board equaliser is nice, but pretty much set if up to boost the bass, and roll-back the mid and trebles, and don't go at them that much. Back of neck is matt finish, and feels really good to play. Would buy again, and much better priced than a certain German website !!!!
