  • Preamp Valves: 4 x 12AX7/ECC83 1 x 12AT7
  • A bias switch is situated on the top panel of the amplifier so that the bias voltage can be set to a range more appropriate for EL34 or 6L6 use. It should be noted that bias adjustment is still required when changing output valves.

  • Rear Panel: Fused mains inlet; High Tension Fuse; High/Low Power Switch; Speaker Outputs: 2 x 4 ohms, 2 x 8 ohms, 1 x 16 ohms; Valve Failure Fuses (V1 & 4 and V2 & 3); Effects Loop 1; Effects Loop 2; Footswitch Sockets for: Effects Loop 1-2 (Auto Assign toggle switch), Channel/Torch and Master Volume/Reverb.

Features

  • Channel switching between clean and overdriven sounds via a front panel toggle switch or remote footswitch.
  • Overdrive Channel has a switchable Gain Boost, which is accessible via the footswitch or front panel toggle switch and enables both crunchy rhythm guitar and sustaining lead guitar tones from this channel.
  • Reverb, which has separate level controls for each channel and can be switched off remotely via the footswitch.
  • Dual Master Volume controls, which enable two overall volume settings, one of which (often Master 2) can be used as a volume boost for solo guitar playing; helping cut through the rest of the band.
  • Two Effects Loops, which can be switched independently or "Auto Assigned" so that Effects Loop 1 works with the Clean Channel and Effects Loop 2 works with the Overdrive Channel.
  • High/Low Power switching via a large metal toggle switch on the rear panel. This switches between full high tension voltage and 60% of the high tension voltage, thus lowering the output power to around 30 watts and enabling the output stage to be pushed into overdrive much more easily.
