Product Description

Jimmy Page is known for playing a lot of different Gibson's but one in particular is really known above all others. Inpired by one of his legendary Les Pauls, using Gibson's Made 2 Measure program this guitar is our unoffical take on his classic dark Les Paul.

Inspired By a Legend
While this is not an official signature model for Mr Page we did hand pick the exact spec of this guitar based what the original is known to be like. Built on a R9 spec you have a few key changes that are not available on stock Gibson Custom Shop models.

Jimmy Page is well known for being one part of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. His unique style of playing and mixing alternative tunings with a cool fuzz/overdriven sound that pushed the boundaries of rock and part of what helped him get that tone was his selection of Gibson guitars including a '59 Les Paul in this kind of finish.

Original R9 Specs
So while this is based on the R9 build Gibson use with a long tennon neck joint, we have actually changed a lot about this guitar from its base specs. We upgraded the body to a 1 piece lightweight Mahogany with an absolutely stunning Maple top that we picked ourselves while at the Gibson Custom Shop. But apart from that a lot of the specs are standard like the reissue inlays, fretwire and nylon nut.

Upgraded Hardware
Of course you can't create a guitar like this without upgrading the hardware. So after speaking to the guys at Gibson and trying out everything kind of pickup they had we decided that what we wanted in this guitar was a set of Custombucker pickups, these were previously only used on a Collectors Choice model.

Looking at the rest of the hardware we have some key upgrades that include aged nickel finishing and grover kidney machine heads. This is more authentic to what Jimmy Page plays and it helps with tuning stability so win-win!

Disclaimer

Please note that this guitar is not officially endorsed by Jimmy Page and the specification is simply our attempt to recreate an iconic guitar using the Gibson Made 2 Measure custom guitar building program.
