The Apollo Twin Solo is a 2 channel Thunderbolt interface with professional grade pre amps and on-board digital pre-amp emulation through UAD's 'Realtime Analog Classics' plugin bundle which powerfully recreates the characteristics of some of the most celebrated console pre-amps of all time.

What's more although it looks like a pure two channel interface you can easily expand it to 10 channels (8 using the Optical input) to record a whole band using the Apollo Twin's pre-amp emulation plug ins! 

Duo or Solo?

The 'duo' and 'solo' tags refer to the number of built in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) cores. The Duo will be fine for most users mixing a small band for example but power users may want the extra processing headroom of the duo for bigger projects.
