Taylor 416CE Limited Edition Cedar Top

The 416CE LTD is one of those amazing limited run guitars that Taylor release every so often with high spec wood combinations that you wouldn't really find on other guitars. This 416ce has a Cedar top for warm, rich tones with a walnut back and sides that will give you the clarity and punch that Taylor are known for. Not to mention the walnut used on the back and sides is figured, so this guitar looks incredible!

They've put these woods on their Grand Symphony shape which is the second biggest shape in the Taylor range making it perfect for strummers and hard-hitters, but surprisingly, the Cedar top responds really well to delicate players too. This is due to the bracing which allows the top to resonate at the lightest touch making it a very dynamic guitar and will be popular with singer/songwriters or anyone who wants to use the guitar live.

ES-2

The pickup system on-board is the highly rated ES-2 system which has a blend of a saddle pickup as well as a body sensor meaning you can really hear the nuances of the player. The saddle piezo doesn't actually sit under the saddle, but rather, alongside the saddle which produces more vibration and therefore output to the preamp. This means a louder and clearer acoustic tone.

This limited edition walnut/cedar Grand Symphony boasts a big, warm, responsive voice. Walnut blends the dry tonal character of mahogany with maple’s player-reflective attributes.

Combined with the touch sensitivity and warmth of a cedar top, players can expect a quick response with a huge range of tonal colors.

Fingerstylists, players who use Celtic tunings, and anyone craving a big response from a light touch will love this guitar.

Strummers will find that the guitar responds best with a slightly softer attack yet still produces plenty of sonic power and dynamic range thanks to the bigger GS body and Taylor’s Performance bracing.

Visually, the walnut back blends color variegation, bold grain structure, and bookmatched figure, while a figured maple mini wedge adds visual contrast.

Maple is also featured for the neck, binding and rosette.

The fretboard inlay is a laser-engraved Italian acrylic Victorian design.
