Very pleased with the amp, it has everything I want with a great sound. I used to have multi effects pedal, don't need that now with all the effects on the amp, which is very user friendly.

Great little modelling combo, for home or gigging without pedals - getting old at 68 and can hardly see them down there anyway! Has got the old school strat tone I like.

Great Amp with great tones. I have owned the Champion 100 in the past and found it too loud. The Champion 40 is loud enough for the band I'm in, has plenty of volume to keep up with the drums. I use a clean-ish tone on the blackface deluxe reverb setting and it's just right. Just the right amount of breakup at the right time. As for the effects I personally use the spring reverb and the tremolo alongside a pedal board. I'd probably use the vibro setting and the rockabilly slapback delay and reverb setting when playing at home. Don't be fooled by the low price and modelling side of things, I play in a band with radio play and have years of gigging and recording experience and would recommend this to anyone on a budget or anyone who needs a lightweight gig-able amp that sounds great. Definitely less to worry about if some ******* puts rests a pint on it.

Not everyone has trouble with a Boss Katana amp, but mine was just impossible. This Fender amp is just terrific, and I can use channel 1 with my electro-acoustic and the lovely choice of tones etc on channel 2 with my electric - no need for a separate acoustic amp - and it's just plug and play, no faffing around with software that doesn't necessarily work.
