Product Description

A few years ago Fender introduced their Blacktop line of guitars. These guitars were hot and heavy with a brand new set of humbucking pickups that were perfect for hard rock and metal tones. Now they are bringing these pickups over to the standard range with the new Fender Standard Strat HSH.

The Legend Gets Hotter

The Fender Standard Stratocaster has been one of the go to guitars for students and guitarists on a budget for a long time. Its sound is iconic and can be heard on a wide range of different albums in pretty much every genre. What makes this one different though are the hot humbuckers sitting on top of this guitar with a sweet standard single coil in the middle.

These pickups have been lifted out of the popular blacktop series and with their open coil design they are now even hotter. They work perfectly with the legendary build of the standard stratocaster and make sure that every note you play rings out and sustains perfectly.

Not Just A One Trick Pony

Although these pickups are made to be used with some high gain this guitar has one more trick up its sleeve. Pull up the tone knob and you have split the coils in your pickup. This means that only the outside coils are engaged for some beautiful traditional stratocaster sounds with what is essentially three single coils.

The Design Of A Generation

The stratocaster body shape, wood choice and build has largely been the same since it was first introduced. Yes there have been changes to the headstock and comfort cuts but it is all essentially the same. Over this time it has been refined to perfection so every guitar that reaches us is pretty much ready to go out of the box.

The alder body and maple neck have been cut and carved perfectly to form a guitar that is easy in the hands of any guitar player. The neck has a 'Modern C' profile meaning that it is thin but still rounded so when you need to grip hard and dig in to those strings your hand will not cramp up. Finished off with a rosewood fingerboard and you have a guitar that is perfect for any level of player who wants something to go with a cranked high gain amp.

If you are looking for a versatile guitar look no further. The humbuckers, single coil and ability to split the humbuckers into singles. Just about covers any style of music you will want to play. Round this off with the great tone and build quality that you would expect from a Fender and you won't go wrong. As this is my granddaughters guitar, she says it looks awesome in black.
