Product Description

Based in Montreal, Canada, SolidGoldFX are renowned for pushing the boundaries of boutique stompbox design and are revered for their unique and often unusual effects!

The Supa Funk Envelope Bi-Filter is an old-school, dual-band envelope filter, but with a cool modern twist! Featuring a responsive and articulate attack generator, the Supa Funk's "Colour" knob allows you to blend in a secondary low-pass filter, helping you to go from the classic '70s "Bam-chicka-wow-wow" funk, all the way to rich, throaty and vocal filter sweeps!

Building on the success of SolidGoldFX's former filter devices, the Funkzilla and Funk-lite, the Supa Funk delivers all of the groovy tones of past filter units, but without their annoying technical shortcomings. The result is a range of super dynamic and smooth filter tones that follow and enhance all of the little nuances of your playing. It's time to reach for those bell-bottoms and get your funk on!

Controls

Featuring a simple control set, the Supa Funk delivers everything from subtle low-pass sweeps to shooting sonic laser sounds that would not be out of place in a science-fiction movie!

The Depth knob adjusts the width or peak of the envelope effect, while the Freq knob sets the centre frequency of the filter. The Attack knob adjusts both the decay time and sensitivity - Turning it clockwise allows the envelope to trigger with ease and keeps it open for longer, while anti-clockwise lets you tame the sensitivity of the trigger and keep the filter decay shorter and snappier. Turning the Attack knob fully anti-clockwise turns off the envelope completely, allowing you to dial in some cool fixed filter tones with the Frequency knob - Ideal for creating filtered lo-fi tones or classic cocked-wah sounds.

The Colour knob blends in a secondary low-pass filter - Turning in anti-clockwise will produce brighter and sharper filter tones, while turning it clockwise will produce a thick and chewy growl-like sound. The Level knob determines how loud and funky things get while the Direction switch lets you flick between classic sweeping filter tones and futuristic filter rockets with ease.

Get The Funk Out!

Featuring an all-analogue signal path, the Supa Funk is housed in a rugged, single-sized chassis with top mounted jacks for easy integration onto your pedalboard. Adorned with cool retro 70’s graphics, the Supa Funk features soft touch true-bypass switching so it won't suck your tone when in bypass mode. Whether you're using a guitar, bass, keyboard or synth, the Super Funk is sure to add a uniquely different dimension to your sound...Just how funky you get is down to you!
