SKU: OC-RASPBERRYBOOSTER
In typical One Control fashion, their Raspberry Booster is a pedal that goes beyond most conventional designs. It's specifically made to increase your gain, while maintaining essential tonal details by controlling the fine textures of the outputted distortion. This pedalboard-friendly stompbox essentially recreates the sound of a vintage boost/overdrive pedal driving an old-school tube amp. Alongside its 'Gain' and 'Master' (volume) controls, it also boasts a unique 'Z' (impedance) control that allows you to precisely adjust the top-end response.

One Control 'BJF Series' Pedals
One Control are well-known for their pedal switchers and pedalboard management devices, but they also make their own effects — the BJF Series! These mini pedals are designed by Björn Juhl, a legend within the stompbox sphere who's highly regarded for his work with Mad Professor, Barefoot FX and his own company, BJFE. These stompboxes not only sound great, but save precious pedalboard real-estate too!
Björn Juhl on the Raspberry Booster:
"In the past, boost pedals have been used as 'overdrive' pedals. Today's modern overdrives actually produce distortion, whereas vintage overdrives were made to distort the amplifier. The Raspberry Booster is a unique pedal designed to be used like a vintage boost/overdrive. With this stompbox, the guitarist has full control of the amount of detail in the gain and of the distortion's texture when boosting their favourite amp or distortion pedal."
"As you raise the 'Gain' knob, the compression of the boost will increase. At the maximum level, expect a good amount of distortion while maintaining a detailed/clean tone. The 'Master' knob is used for volume cuts as well as an overall boost. If a boost pedal increases the output volume and gain by the same amount, the overall volume will increase more than expected, making the ideal amount of distortion difficult to dial-in. By adjusting the 'Gain' and 'Master' knobs separately, the Raspberry Booster can achieve the desired amount of gain at the desired overall volume."
"The unique 'Z' knob controls the input impedance, from 9.8K to 319K. Adjusting this control allows you to manipulate how the top-end of your tone rolls off. If you set it to the minimum, the sound becomes soft and warm like a plump semi-acoustic humbucker. As you increase the impedance, the top-end changes sharply and the resolution of the whole tone also changes. It affects the movement of your tone too, when you operate the guitar's volume knob while the gain is being boosted."
