Product Description

The Casio PX-760 is a compact yet Elegant Piano for the home. Featuring Casio's top of the range AiR Sound Source technology, you can play with the sampled sounds of a real acoustic piano. What's more, it'll always stay in tune so you don't need to worry about organising a 6 monthly health check with a piano tuner!

The PX-760 forms part of Casio's Privia range which feature a range of authentic piano sounds and a new Tri-Sensor 88 note scaled hammer action keyboard. Focusing on a pure piano experience, the 760 features a stylish and compact floor standing cabinet that looks great in a living room or at a small venue, without taking up too much space.

The whole keyboard has been designed for the piano purist in search for an instrument that sounds and plays like a real instrument. In addition to the amazing AiR technology Tones and expressive touch found in all Privia Pianos, the 760 also features an integrated triple pedal unit with damper resonance to give you the full control and expressive range of a real acoustic piano.

AiR Technology

All built-in tones on the PX-760 are created using AiR  (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) Technology. The AiR processor utilizes grand piano samples recorded at four dynamics sampling to deliver grand piano sounds with long natural decays and remarkable expression.

AiR tones also feature the subtleties that form a piano's sound, including hammer response and something called natural string resonance which recreates the sound of the sympathetic strings when the damper pedal is raised. This gives the piano sounds it's classic rich tone and resonance.

Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard

If you're familiar with the feel of a real acoustic piano, you'll be pleased to hear that the PX-760 has a spring-less hammer system that feels similar to an acoustic grand. A naturally firm touch is graded with the lower notes feeling a little heavier than the higher notes, Just like the real thing.

Concert Play

Although the Privia-760 is designed to offer the piano purist a simple and elegent digital instrument, it doesn't mean it cant have a few tricks up its sleeve.

In addition to the instrument's range of 18 realistic piano tones, the PX-760 has a "concert play" function, featuring 10 orchestral pieces that you can play along to. You're able to practice at slow tempos and a full orchestra will encourage you to keep going, even when you make mistakes. Then, when you're ready you can perform at full tempo to your friends, and enjoy the feeling of playing along with other instruments. You get all the sheet music included with the instrument.

I previously had a keyboard but I much prefer the piano. It feels and sounds, to me anyway, just like an acoustic piano. I love it and would recommend it to anybody

Haven't experienced all the functions as I may not use them to be honest, but they're there for beginners and I would image are pretty useful additions! The weighted keys feel as close as I can remember from playing real upright pianos years ago so feels natural. Foot pedals feel a bit meh, but at this price point and the target audience, aren't bad! Easy to put together, may need someone to assist with putting the board on top but I'm not that strong and I put the thing together on my own, just have to be cautious and take your time with placing it on top. Anyone with experience may not find this the greatest purchase option but for beginner use or just a casual digital piano use. I think it's perfect!

The piano feels so sturdy, and the sound is wonderful. It's just as clean at the lowest as it is at the highest volume.
