Product Description

Iconic's Tamarack VM (Vintage Modern) model takes the classic T-style guitar to new heights — both sonically and playability-wise. While capable of pumping out old-school tones via a pair of proprietary 'Revolution T' pickups mounted into a nitro-finished, double-bound Alder body; it's fair to say that almost every other aspect of this exquisite instrument is made for the contemporary musician!

Sporting a comfy "C"-shaped Roasted Flamed Maple neck with a compound radius fingerboard and medium jumbo frets, Gotoh tuners and Iconic's 'Modern Style' bridge with compensated brass saddles — you can expect first-class performance.

Key Features

  • 2-Piece Alder Body — Timeless tonewood choice synonymous with bolt-on electric guitars. Serves as a balanced tonal foundation for the pickups, with tight lows, bold mids and singing highs.
  • 5A Roasted Flamed Maple Neck — Roasting process crystallises resins and removes all of the natural moisture retained by the neck wood; ultimately darkening the material, reducing weight, and increasing stability for rock-solid tuning!
  • Medium "C" Neck Profile — A supportive, addictive shape that lets you play blazing riffs and fluid leads without hindrance.
  • 10"-14” Compound Radius — This ergonomic fingerboard radius is rounded at the lower end of the neck to make chords easier to fret, and flattens out the higher you go so that fast passages feel much easier to play. It also helps to prevent string bends from fretting out!
  • Iconic Revolution T Pickups — Bridge single-coil is overwound for better balance and an "Esquire" type flavour suited to rock and blues, but still has plenty of twang on tap if you want that classic T-type vibe! The neck pickup is smooth, warm and has great sustain.
  • Iconic Modern Style Bridge — A rock-solid bridge featuring intonated brass saddles for pitch-perfect notes at all areas of the fingerboard.
  • Graph Tech TUSQ XL Nut — Material is impregnated with PTFE, the slipperiest substance on earth! This alleviates the binding grip that the nut has on the strings, to make sure that they glide back into tune.
  • Handcrafted in the USA — Built in California for the most discerning of musicians, promising "unparalleled tone and unsurpassed quality" in the company's own words.
