Pro Quality Recording

The TLM 103 is the ideal large diaphragm microphone for all professional and semi-professional applications requiring the utmost in sound quality on a limited budget.

By utilizing the tried and true transformerless circuit found in numerous Neumann microphones, the TLM 103 features yet unattained low self-noise and the highest sound pressure level transmission. The capsule, derived from that used in the legendary U87, has a cardioid pattern, is acoustically well balanced and provides extraordinary attenuation of signals from the rear.

The EA1N Shock Mount is designed for the TLM 103, TLM 193 and M 147 Tube microphones. It has a swivel mount with a 5/8"-27 female thread that can be fastened to tripods. Included is a threaded adapter to connect to 1/2"- and 3/8" studs.

The perfect combination at a great price!

The mic itself is fantastic, as you'd expect. A very crisp sound compared to my Sennheiser MK4. The recorded sound keeps its quality remarkably well even when recording at a much lower gain and then normalised/compressed back up, to a preferred hearing range. With my Sennheiser I would notice the tinny effect, whereas with the TLM 103 there is little to none of that, save in the breaths which I remove anyway. Great purchase and this mic definitely provides the quality Neumann are known for.

Wonderful mic. I've had an MXL 2001-P for over 20 years that has been used on many recordings but I've always wanted a Neumann having used them in other studios. Now I can afford one I took the plunge. The increased level of detail and warmth is well worth the layout.

Clear sound. Well worth the expense.

Mr Allan Swanson25th Nov 2018

This mic really does live up to its Neumann reputation and captures sound beyond expectation compared to early entry condenser mics. I use it primarily for vocals and when I record saxophone usually about a distance of 4' or 122cm.

very good quality mic which really makes your voice sound good! smart looking mic which captures your voice naturally
