So you've got a great guitar, carefully chosen pedals and now you need a head that gives you that tone you love... Well this is what you need.

Morgan are an American firm based in California that make high end amps and cabs. This 35 watt head has great tone and is a jack of all trades when it comes to the type of tone you can get out of it. With the ability to swap output tubes at will and the extreme tone controls it's perfect for the studio and live settings and makes a great choice if you get the urge to change your rig sound regularly.

Extra Reverb

Morgan have taken there succesful 35 watt amp[ and added three spring tube driven reverb for even more tonal choices. The RCA35R reverb is also run parallel to the original tone stack. This means when the reverb is not being used it is totally out of the circuit unlike most other guitar amp reverbs.

Dial in the gain

The Master volume on this amp is similar to the ones used in The SW series of Morgan Amps. Once the master volume is over the 2 o’clock position it will start adding gain to the power section of the amp.

The Midrange control does the same job. It is designed to behave normally until about the 9 o’clock position on the dial. From that point on you will be adding gain along with your midrange giving you a completely different feel and growl. Adding these 2 together you can get seriously rich sounding high gain response... great for soloing.

Swap your tubes

The hardware in this amp is designed for a quick change between tubes. Each type of tube results in different tone so the option to change between them means you can custom pick your electrics for the exact sound you want. If you're a session player this amp is a great choice as it lets you be as flexible as you need without having to carry a choice of heads.

Twilight style

This head has Morgan's Twilight finish. This has a classic, dark styling with a vivid black/white copntrasting design. As we all know Black goes with everything and this head suits a whole range of styles.

The Morgan RCA35R starts with the circuit from the RCA35 and then adds three spring tube driven reverb. The Morgan RCA35Rwas designed around a special output transformer that is equally happy with 6L6s or 6V6s or EL34s or KT66s or KT77s or 6CA7s. The RCA35’s unique design allows any of these tubes to be swapped in. Simply choose a matched pair and just plug and play. The Cathode Bias design allows you to swap power tubes without the need for rebiasing. The RCA35R has a black face style tone stack. The Bass, Mid, and Treb controls give you a wide range of tones. Do not be afraid to use extreme settings on the tone controls, they are designed to give you the most dramatic swings available to allow you to go from clean and glassy like an EL84 class A amp to thick and grindy like the best plexi you have ever heard.
