Product Description

The Streetmaster is among some of Martin’s most popular guitars in recent years. It’s essentially a D-15 with a rugged worn finish; perfect for gigging, recording, busking or a casual strum alike. Now they’ve unveiled a slope-shouldered version, offering comfy playability, refined tuners and scalloped bracing – full of character, as every guitar should be.

Slope-shoulder design

By rounding off the otherwise pronounced shoulders of a standard dreadnought design, Martin have created a Streetmaster with a different playability. Combined with a tweaked oval neck profile, it offers better upper-fret accessibility and a comfortable shape for those more used to smaller acoustics.

Combined with solid Mahogany throughout, you’ll notice a warm resonance with plenty of low-end. Naturally, Martin dreadnoughts offer heaps of rich volume and projection, but the slope-shoulder design allows the wood to sing in a slightly different voice. This is a working musician’s guitar but with the charm and character of a true relic.

Here’s what Martin say:

The popular solid mahogany StreetMaster is now available in a slope-shoulder model with Golden Age relic nickel tuners, an old-style script logo, and scalloped bracing. The well-worn look and modern features of the StreetMaster make it perfect for your next gig, whether it be at the historic Ryman Theatre or a day of busking in the big city. Enjoy the look and feel of a well-worn instrument with the lifetime warranty and the superb playability of a brand-new guitar. The DSS-15M StreetMaster comes with a gig bag and is ready to hit the streets.
