Product Description

We all know and recognise the quality that Marshall bring to the table, offering top-grade guitar amplification that has stood the tests of time for decades! With this in mind, let us introduce you to the incredibly awesome, visually classic and audibly stunning Vintage Reissue 1959SLP 100W Guitar Valve Amp Head. This is one serious Head that oozes vintage class and sound, showcasing all the iconic tone and cosmetics that make Marshall the worldly appreciated amp manufacturer it is!

The all-tube Marshall 1959SLPX Amp Head gives guitarists absolutely gorgeous vintage over-driven tone, perfect for lead distortion, while still offering responsive, tight growl, offering a perfectly matched tone, just like the sounds that were created by the original 1967 to 1969 models. Pete Townshend's addiction for volume saw this Amp Head boast 100 Watts of power that is provided by four EL34s and three ECC83s found in the preamp to the exact configuration as the original. Also featuring True bypass series FX loop, 3-band EQ, and presence control all go hand in hand to make the Marshall Vintage Reissue 1959SLP 100W Guitar Valve Amp Head a must-have.

What Marshall say about the Vintage Reissue 1959SLP 100W Guitar Valve Amp Head:

Once a company reaches a certain stature and achieves a respectable tenure, there are certain products that people expect it to always make. For this reason, Kellogg’s will always make cornflakes, Heinz will always make Ketchup, and Marshall will always offer 100 Watt ‘Plexi’ heads.
The 100 Watt Super Lead head of the late ’60s (’68 – ’69) with the famed Plexiglas front panel, is reissued here in all its glory. The 1959SLP ‘Plexi’ head is the amp that defines classic rock tone.
To ensure absolute tonal authenticity, we took a ‘Plexi’ head from said era, and using it as a template, our R&D experts developed a replica so exact, that sonically we couldn’t tell them apart. The 1959SLP truly is the sound of rock.
The only modern addition to this reissue is a tonally transparent Series FX Loop, complete with a True Bypass switch.
