Todd Sucherman is a US drummer best known for playing with Styx since the '90s. His precise, hard-hitting style has earned him a reputation as one of the best rock drummers in the business - he was literally voted Number One Rock Drummer in the World by Modern Drummer magazine! Todd has been a Pearl player for a long time now, and this Masterworks kit encompasses his approach and style; this is the very kit that he played at our Drum Addicts Live event. The Heritage Sonic Select Recipe kit includes all drums and hardware used at the event – stick marks and all! This is your chance to own a real one-of-a-kind kit; likely the only Masterworks kit played by Sucherman that’s available for sale in Europe!

The Heritage Sonic Select Recipe

The shell is 4-ply composite of 2-ply Mahogany inner and 2-ply Maple outer with 4-ply Maple reinforcement rings. This combination delivers a classic midrange tone but the Mahogany adds a resonant low end. 

The bearing edge is a straight 45-degree cut which adds to the projection and responsive feel, particularly with darker tones. Hardware/fittings are the FatTone hoops which are lightweight but provide excellent sustain and tuning stability. To finish off, Pearl have added STL lugs to the shells, allowing maximum vibration while showing off the vibrant finish.
