Product Description

The Sledge 2.0 is Studiologic's updated 8 voice virtual analogue polysynth. Studiologic are well known for their well designed keyboards, however to get the fantastic on-board sounds they turned to Waldorf who have a history and experience creating fantastic sounding synths. This collaboration proved to be a hit, with the great feel and build quality, with a new warm sounding synth engine from waldorf.

The whole ethos behind the Sledge is that you get full hands on control of all the parameters like a classic synth, as many modern synths hide parameters behind endless menus. It has a large format classic synthesizer panel with one knob per function. Sledge 2.0 introduces new features and sound innovations that make it hugely versatile, thanks to a mix of pure synthesis and sound sampling.

Auto Dual Mode, mix the sound

Combine and play two sounds at the same time, in Split or Layer mode. Every sound combination can be stored in any of the 999 available presets.

Hold the loop and pitch the sound

Pitch and Hold functions can be enabled separately for the Lower and Upper sounds in Dual Mode, allowing you to keep the sample loop running while playing the upper sound.

Let your samples play

Sound samples and new waves can be loaded in the internal memory, played by OSC 1 and modifiable by all parameters of the control panel, adding other oscillators, setting filters, envelopes and effects.

Sledge Spectre & Sound Mapper

Create and transfer Sample content, manage and reorganize the internal sound library of your Sledge. Load, save, copy, send, receive. Everything you want to do with your sound library, you can do that thanks to a user-friendly interface.

Mr Tim Hope25th Feb 2024

There are too many software glitches with the synth, I am disappointed that I have spent my money on this synthesiser and I wish I had made a better choice.

Ms EVE JOHNSTONE26th Jan 2023

Multiple issues: - Volume shifting between quiet and loud - becomes quiet, then louder after a restart(sometimes). - No cc/vol sequencer data being received but problem persists. I am using the headphone output. - Jumping 100 presets when using data entry knob. Reverb and delay time completely inoperable. Even after restart. - Parameter position numbers OLD & NEW not updating when editing. Data entry knob stuck on category. I had it connected to Maschine+ via MIDI, but seemed to have the same issues when disconnected with MIDI local turned on. SUMMARY: Works ok in standalone mode. Does not work well with studio integration. Research shows multiple issues and support is a circle of ignorant madness.

A superb synth, even better than reviews had suggested. Fair takes me back to the days when all synths were covered in knobs and sliders.
